ABSTRACT:
A system, method and apparatus for transmission of optical signal in which two laser beams, operating at different frequencies, travel nearly loss-free and shape-invariant within an absorbing medium whereby the nonlinearity of the beams cause an adiabatic interaction of their optical pulses to maintain signals that modulate one of the beams. The adiabatic interaction of the two beams results in shape-preserving pulses called adiabaton pairs to form within the beams within the absorbing medium.
