A facsimile device10serving as a transmission device of the present invention has a maintenance information base (MIB)23astoring address data. When the facsimile device10receives a SNMP-based packet including a GET command, the address data is retrieved and transmitted to an external device3. When the facsimile device10receives a SNMP-based packet including a SET command, address data included in the packet is retrieved and registered into the MIB23a.
