ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides transgenic plants transformed with an isolated DNA encoding a monomeric anthranilate synthase. The present invention also provides an isolated DNA encoding a monomeric anthranilate synthase fromAgrobacterium tumefaciens. Transformation vectors and transformed plants containing the isolated DNA and seeds derived therefrom, are also provided.
