ABSTRACT:
A steering mechanism for a tracked vehicle wherein a motor-operated gear is rranged to rotate two planetary gear components in opposite directions. A single input shaft drives two planetary gear systems at different speeds and/or different directions to achieve a vehicle steer action. The mechanism is compactly arranged so that the control gearing is centered on the input shaft axis.
