ABSTRACT:
A resilient torque absorber is placed between a roll bar and a U-joint of roll bar mechanism such as that used in roll-tarp covers for truck trailers. The absorber allows more precise adjustment of tightness and helps prevent accidents caused by over-tightening of tarps or by tarps loosening during load settling.
