ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a topical anti-acne formulation comprising, in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a compound of the formula C.sub.6 H.sub.2 ClOHR.sup.1 R.sup.2, wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently C1 to C7 alkyl, C3 to C7 cycloalkyl or C3 to C7 aryl, and zinc oxide. The preferred formulation contains 4-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol and zinc oxide.
