A tooling plate to fixture a workpiece for a vehicle subassembly is provided, including a planar body10for supporting fixture tools32, 34for holding a workpiece, a connector mechanism to allow the planar body10to be removably connected with a workpiece presenter50, and a locater mechanism70, 72, 74to locate the planar body10with respect to the workpiece presenter50in a repeatable manner.
