ABSTRACT:
A toner for development of electrostatic images containing one or more compounds of formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## where A and R each represent an aromatic ring residue, and the hydroxyl group and the amido group in the formula are bonded to the aromatic ring A at the adjacent positions, ##STR2## where A.sup.1, A.sup.2, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represent an aromatic ring residue, and the hydroxyl group and the amido group in the formula are bonded to the aromatic ring A.sup.1 or A.sup.2 at the adjacent positions; and n represents an integer. The toner is highly safe and has sufficient charge properties and charge stability.
