ABSTRACT:
An improved toilet seat venting apparatus providing a pipe fitting fixedly secured to the rear rim of a conventional toilet. A portion of the pipe fitting is sectioned to provide a deflecting surface or formed to provide a plurality of openings. A toilet seat including a plurality of intake ports is pivotally mounted to the pipe fitting. The present invention provides a channel disposed within the toilet seat so as to communicate with said sectioned portion of said pipe fitting regardless of the position of said toilet seat. A baffle is provided within the channel for selectively obstructing same and a suction device is also provided for drawing gases into the intake ports and through the pipe fitting.
