A catalyst system obtainable by the process comprising the steps of contacting an adduct of formula (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?MgT2.yAlQj(OR″)3-j  (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein T is chlorine, bromine, or iodine; R″ is a linear or branched C1-C10alkyl radical; y ranges from 1.00 to 0.05; and j ranges from 0.01 to 3.00; with at least one metallocene compound having titanium as central metal and at least one ligand having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton.
