ABSTRACT:
A device for converting pulses generated by a 7-segment, 12-hour clock unit of a standard electronic timepiece into a sequence of nonoptical time-indicating signals. The device comprises binary counter means for counting minutes and groups of 5-minute multiples each, a parallel binary-to-serial pulse converter for converting the parallel hour, 5-minute-multiple and minute signals from the 7-segment display unit and from the counter means respectively, into serial pulses distinctly representing hours, 5-minute multiples and minutes respectively. The device also comprises amplifier means for amplifying the serial pulses and aural or tactile sensation-producing device to render the pulses audible or palpable.
