ABSTRACT:
A shift register time compression correlator for determining the degree of oincidence between two signals designed specifically for battery power or other power limited applications. The correlator introduces variable delays to one input signal and compares the delayed input signal with the other input signal which remains undelayed. The output is a stream of digital pulses, the density of which is a measure of the degree of coincidence between the two input signals.
