ABSTRACT:
Thiophene-2-carboxylic acid derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## where R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are each hydrogen, halogen, branched or straight-chain C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -haloalkoxy, nitro, cyano, unsubstituted phenyl or phenyl which is mono- to trisubstituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -haloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 -haloalkoxy;
