ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to the utility of certain thiocyano-xanthates as biocidal and miticidal agents having the formula ##STR1## wherein X equals -O or -S; and R is selected from the group consisting of alkyl containing from 1 to 7 carbon atoms, alkoxyalkyl containing from 2 to 7 carbon atoms, naphthyl, phenyl and substituted phenyl wherein the substituents can be selected from the group consisting of alkyl containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, halogen and nitro. The compounds of this invention are biocidally and miticidally active.
