ABSTRACT:
The present invention is a process for making thiobisphenol phosphorus acid esters by reacting aryl esters of pentavalent phosphorus acids with sulfur halides. The invention also encompasses groups of novel compounds made by the process. Said compounds can be used in functional fluids.
