ABSTRACT:
A thin layer chromatographic plate housing a substrate and bonded there to a layer of discrete, spherical inorganic metal oxide particles bonded to the substrate by an inorganic metal oxide binder the particles and binder being SrO.sub.2, TiO.sub.2, ZrO.sub.2, or Al.sub.2 O.sub.3.
