ABSTRACT:
Novel thermotropic aromatic copolyesters comprise the following recurring structural units: ##STR1## and are prepared by polycondensing p-(p-hydroxyphenoxy)-benzoic acid with an aromatic or cycloaliphatic diacid, a diphenol and, optionally, p-hydroxybenzoic acid.
