ABSTRACT:
A device in a fluid flow path moves to perform a fluid flow control operation at a predetermined high fluid temperature. A mechanism normally locked out of participation in the movements of the device is released at a selected fluid temperature higher than the predetermined fluid temperature and compells the device to a performance of the control operation. The thermostatic device and the locking and release mechanism are incorporated in a unitary structure insuring the carrying out of a control function even when elements of the device having primary responsibility therefor fail or respond inadequately.
