ABSTRACT:
This invention relates to thermostable enzyme systems from the bacterial strain, Thermomonospora fusca, and their use to modify wood. More particularly, this invention relates to a new bacterial strain of Thermomonospora fusca, designated KW3, and its use to reduce the lignin content of wood.
