ABSTRACT:
A zeolite catalyst composition having increased resistance to agglomeration and/or migration of its noble metal component at high temperatures and a method for preparing the catalyst composition are disclosed. The zeolite catalyst composition contains non-framework multivalent alumina which is obtained by calcining the zeolite at a temperature of at least 600.degree. C. in moist air (10 to 100 torr water).
