A thermal transfer recording material contains at least one colorant represented by the following general formula (II),wherein R21and R22each represent a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic group; R23represents a substituent; n represents an integer of 0 to 4; when n is 2 or more, R23is the same or different each other; R25and R26represent alkyl groups respectively; and at least one of R25and R26represents a secondary alkyl group.
