N-(p-trifluoromethoxyphenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimide and N-(p-trifluoromethylthiophenyl)-3,4,5,6-tetrahydrophthalimide are capable of controlling annual and perennial weeds with high selectivity.
