ABSTRACT:
A process for the recovery of oil from a subsurface reservoir in combination with the production of liquid hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbonaceous stream involving:(i) separating an oxygen
itrogen mixture into a stream enriched in oxygen and an oxygen depleted stream;(ii) partial oxidation of the hydrocarbonaceous feed at elevated temperature and pressure using enriched oxygen produced in step (i) to produce synthesis gas;(iii) converting synthesis gas obtained in step (ii) into liquid hydrocarbons; and(iv) recovering oil from a subsurface reservoir using at least part of the oxygen depleted gas stream produced in step (i).
