ABSTRACT:
A terminal unit having a metal terminal for holding an electrically conductive wire in cooperation with a plate spring, wherein a push button 6 is operated in one direction to rotatably disengage one end 4a of the plate spring 4 from the metal terminal 3 against the spring action of a compression coil spring 5 which is in engagement with the opposite end 4c of the plate spring, the plate spring being bent at the intermediate portion thereof to provide an attaching portion 4b with which the plate spring may be rotatably supported on a support pin 21. In particular, the push button, the plate spring and the compression coil spring are used in combination with the principle of a lever so that the plate spring any be disengaged from the metal terminal with a relatively small force applied to the push button.
