ABSTRACT:
A tension mask frame assembly for a color CRT includes a pair of first and second support members separated a predetermined distance from each other, first and second elastic members installed at end portions of the first and second support members to support the first and second support members, a tension mask installed at the first and second support members such that a tensile force is applied to the first and second support member and having a plurality of electronic beam passing holes formed therein, and a compensation portion installed at the end portions of the first and second support members to make the tensile force applied to the tension mask after heat treatment distributed such that tension at a central portion is greater than that at a surrounding portion.
