ABSTRACT:
A formable, weldable, temporary, protective coating for use on metals is provided comprising a neutralized acid- or base-functional polymer, lubricant, and solvent including water and an alcohol having no more than four carbon atoms per molecule, whereby the coating is capable of rapid drying at relatively low temperatures while exhibiting a flash point above 100.degree. F.
