ABSTRACT:
A temporary interlining composing a fabric base material and a continuous layer of a foamed adhesive provided on at least one of the surfaces thereof, which is prepared by coating said fabric base material uniformly and continuously with a foamed creamy aqueous solution of an adhesive and drying said solution, said foamed creamy aqueous solution having a viscosity of about 10,000 to about 200,000 c.p.s. at 50.degree. C. and the adhesive being soluble in water and becoming sticky on moistening. Said interlining, when heat and pressure are applied while and after being moistened, adheres to a dress material on the surface of said interlining; however, the adhesive can be washed off in a single washing operation.
