ABSTRACT:
A temperature-type expansion valve1includes a valve housing110having a first passage121into which a high pressure refrigerant flows, a second passage122through which a low pressure refrigerant flowing to an evaporator5flows, and a throttle passage125communicating the first passage121with the second passage122; a valve body130having a valve member131varying a sectional area of the throttle passage125; and an operation rod135for driving the valve body130in the interlocking arrangement with a displacement member160undergoing displacement in accordance with a pressure difference between a saturation pressure corresponding to an outlet temperature of the refrigerant of the evaporator5and an evaporation pressure of the evaporator; wherein a slide hole124communicating with the throttle passage125and accommodating the valve body130is formed in the valve housing110; and the valve member131moves inside the slide hole124in the interlocking arrangement with the operation rod135to thereby adjust the sectional area of the throttle passage125. Construction can be simplified and the number of components can be decreased.
