ABSTRACT:
A temperature measuring probe for measuring excess temperatures at the exhaust of an internal combustion engine is provided which incorporates an NTC resistor in a gas-tight metal housing. The housing is vacuum-tight, shock-proof, and vibration-proof (10 g RMS, 0 through 500 Hz) and the probe is suitable for temperature sensing up to about 700.degree. C. The probe is particularly suitable for use as a temperature monitor for turbo-chargers.
