ABSTRACT:
When a viewing limitation level is set from a receiver side, if the setting of the viewing limitation level is selected from a set-up screen, a TV side microcomputer displays an access code screen. When an access code is inputted, the microcomputer displays the setting select screen of the viewing limitation level of a broadcasting side. When an arbitrary viewing limitation level is selected, the microcomputer obtains the information of the viewing limitation level of a disc side from a viewing limitation level corresponding table and informs a disc side microcomputer of the information of the viewing limitation level and sets the viewing limitation level of the receiver side to the selected viewing limitation level. The disc side microcomputer sets the viewing limitation level of the disc side in accordance with the contents of the information.
