ABSTRACT:
This invention provides a television device in which text data can be continuously and stably obtained even when the switching the reception between a plurality of tuners. Outputs of first and second signals are inputted into and demodulated by video processing circuits. One of the outputs of the video processing circuits is selected by a selector and inputted into a text decoder. In a case where the reception channel of the first tuner is switched to a channel received by the second tuner under a condition that the selector selects the output of the video processing circuit, the selector is switched to select the output of the video processing circuit after the reception state of the first tuner becomes stable.
