ABSTRACT:
The present invention includes a bollard assembly1containing an an elongated housing4. A bollard2is spaced radially inward of the housing4and is axially displaceable therein. A threaded drive shaft receiver32is centrally fixed within the housing4for threaded reception of a threaded drive shaft30. The threaded drive shaft30is thereby suspended within the housing4and threadedly received by the receiver32. Upon activation of the drive shaft30operably connected to the bollard2, rotation of the drive shaft30establishes simultaneous vertical displacement of the drive shaft30and the bollard2.
