ABSTRACT:
Formamidinesulfinic acid (thiourea dioxide) is employed as an additive to ert motor components of solid-propelled rocket motors to eliminate afterburning which is defined as the combustion of gases (produced by the pyrolysis of the inert motor components) with the air ingested into the rocket motor due to the free convective circulation after motor burnout.
