ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is a magnetic tape recording and reproducing apparatus or video tape recorder apparatus in which a magnetic tape is drawn out from a tape cassette by means of tape lead-out pins and brought into close contact with a head cylinder containing rotating heads. Each of the tape lead-out pins is mounted on a movable base having an engaging member which is adapted to bear against a first stopper for defining a limit of the tape lead-out movement of the movable base in the horizontal direction, while the movements of the movable base in the vertical direction are limited by a second stopper and lateral movements of the base are restricted by a third stopper, whereby the movable bases each having a tape lead-out pin are positively constrained at predetermined positions after the tape has been drawn out from the tape cassette.
