ABSTRACT:
EMI noise in a system using a power converter with switching control is reduced in a simple configuration. The power converter3includes a converter31, a smoothing capacitor32, and an inverter33, and receives the power from an AC power supply1via an AC reactor2and converts it into a power of an optional frequency and voltage to supply to a motor4. Damping impedance elements6, 7, 8are inserted between the frame of the motor4and the ground5, between the cooling fin34of the power converter3and the ground5, and between the AC reactor2and the ground5, respectively. Further, paths between the AC reactor2and ground5, between the power converter3and ground5, and between the motor4and ground5are insulated except that the damping impedance elements6, 7, 8are inserted.
