ABSTRACT:
A valve control system for variably controlling operation, including the valve lift, of a valve for an internal combustion engine having a crankshaft based on a driving condition of a vehicle. The valve control system includes a camshaft assembly baving a cam for operating the valve while driven by the crankshaft, the camshaft having a longitudinal axis, a hydraulic control device for selectively applying hydraulic fluid to first and second ends of the camshaft assembly in response to a driving condition of a vehicle, whereby the camshaft assembly reciprocates along the longitudinal axis; and a valve operation controller for variably controlling the operation of the valve while the camshaft reciprocates by hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic control device.
