ABSTRACT:
A system for recovering petroleum fluids from underwater fissures, wherein a tank formed of a cylindrical wall having a top closure and an open bottom is adapted to be positioned over the fissure on or near the bed of water without any rigid restraints. The spilled fluids from the fissure will enter the open bottom and pass upwardly toward the top closure where they are stored for later withdrawal.
