ABSTRACT:
A machine for regrinding components of a constant velocity universal joint is disclosed. The machine contains (1) a chuck mechanism and an adaptor for mounting a component in the chuck mechanism, (2) a grinding bit comprised of a grinding tip, an arbor, and means for removably attaching the grinding tip to the arbor, (3) a rotatable support means for supporting the chuck mechanism, (4) a high speed spindle, (5) a means for adjusting the position of the spindle in the Y axis to move the spindle in and out, (6) means for injecting nonaqueous lubricant onto the grinding bit, and (7) means for purifying contaminated nonaqueous lubricant.
