ABSTRACT:
Systems and methods for automatic provisioning of equipment, topology, and end-to-end paths for SONET networks are disclosed. The method for equipment provisioning generally includes detecting a new equipment, selecting a default equipment template corresponding to the new equipment type, and provisioning the equipment using the predefined values of the default equipment template.
