The receiver is attached to one of the group of passenger seats and operates as an interface between the line-replaceable SEU and a plurality of communication cables propagating the telephony and in-flight entertainment. The receiver is configured to allow the line-replaceable seat electronics unit to be removed without removal of the communication cables.
