ABSTRACT:
A system for aligning a first surface with respect to a second surface includes means for determining the distances between the first and second surfaces at at least three locations on the surfaces; means, response to the means for determining, for detecting differences in the distances between the first and second surfaces at the at least three locations; and alignment means, responsive to the detecting means for moving at least one of the surfaces until there is no nominal difference in the distances between the first and second surfaces at said at least three locations.
