ABSTRACT:
Synthetic lubricants of the formula: ##STR1## wherein, n is from 3 to 10; X and X' are NH or NH.sub.2, with the proviso that X and X' are not both NH.sub.2 ; Rf and Rf' are Y(C.sub.3 F.sub.6 O).sub.l CFZCO, Y(C.sub.3 F.sub.6 O).sub.l (CF.sub.2 O).sub.m CFZCO, Y(C.sub.2 F.sub.4 O).sub.l (CF.sub.2 O).sub.m CFZO, Y(CF.sub.2).sub.l-1 CO, Y(CF.sub.2).sub.l- CH.sub.2 CO, and Y(CF.sub.2).sub.l-1 CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 CO, wherein l>m, l is an integer from 3 to 150, m is an integer from 1 to 50, Y is H--, F--, CF.sub.3 --, C.sub.2 F.sub.5 --, C.sub.3 F.sub.7 --, CF.sub.3 O--, C.sub.2 F.sub.5 O--, or C.sub.3 F.sub.7 O--, and Z is F--, CF.sub.3 --, or C.sub.2 F.sub.5 --. The synthetic lubricants have enhanced adsorption on metals, graphite, amorphous carbon, and other inorganic materials, have improved corrosion protection and load resistance properties, a favorable lubricating behavior, and low combustibility.
