ABSTRACT:
A cut pile fabric is produced using a grass-like fiber and, optionally, a crimped or crimpable fiber of lower denier than said grass-like fiber plied therewith. The pile fabric made from such fibers has improved aesthetics (e.g., appearance) and mechanical (e.g., frictional) properties, and closely simulates natural turf.
