ABSTRACT:
A process of treating wood of the genus Juglans to change its color completely and throughout its entire structure and substance so as to produce a jet black product with bronze highlights which duplicates the color of natural ebony, thereby providing a highlighted synthetic ebony or ebony substitute, and the product produced thereby, are all described herein.
