ABSTRACT:
A process for synthesizing alpha-substituted O,O-dialkyl dithiophosphato amides, comprising the step of contacting a C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 alpha-chloro amide with an aqueous solution of a salt of an O,O-dialkyl dithiophosphoric acid, at a temperature above the melting point of the alpha-chloro amide and in the range of from about 100.degree. C. to about 200.degree. C., is disclosed.
