ABSTRACT:
A water soluble preservative admixture of biocidal compounds for addition to commercial use compositions at predetermined use levels, and uniformly distributed therein, to provide long-time synergistic biocidal activity against a wide range of fungi and both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, which comprises powders of
(a) one or more methylol compounds, or their equivalents, and
(b) iodopropynyl alcohol, or its ester, carbamate or ether derivative thereof, in a weight ratio of (a):(b) of 100:1 to 2000:1.
