ABSTRACT:
A synergistic microbiocidal composition for inhibiting bacterial growth comprising as Component (1) a polycondensation product of acrolein/formaldehyde in a molar ratio of 1:1-10:1 and as Component (2) an N-alkyl(C.sub.8 -C.sub.30) dimethylbenzyl ammonium halide, Component (1) and Component (2) being in a weight ratio of about 1:10-10:1.
