ABSTRACT:
A dual clutch gearbox for a motor vehicle comprising a first gearbox input shaft (20) with which at least one first gear is associated, and a second gearbox input shaft (22) with which at least one second gear is associated. An outer gearbox input shaft (22) embodied as a hollow shaft surrounds an inner gearbox input shaft (20), and a synchronization device is provided inside the gearbox. The synchronization device comprises at least one planetary gear set (30, 40) and an associated braking device (50), the planetary gear set being arranged with its sun gear, planet carrier and internal ring gear, essentially coaxially in relation to the gearbox input shafts (20, 22), and a first component (34; 42) selected from the sun gear, the planet carrier and the internal ring gear is coupled or can be coupled to the first gearbox input shaft (20) for the purpose of rotational engagement; a second component (32; 44) is coupled or can be coupled to the second gear box input shift (22) for the purpose of rotational engagement, and a third component (36; 46) can be braked by the brake device (50) of the synchronization device, which is supported or can be supported, directly or indirectly, on a gearbox housing.
