ABSTRACT:
A sliding roof device (1) which is designed to close an opening (104) in the upper part of a motor vehicle body (101), the sliding roof device (1) having a pane (10) which is mounted for displacement between a closed position in which it closes the opening (104), and an opened position in which the pane (10) is at least partially spaced away from the opening (104). The movable pane10has a front part (11) which is mounted to rotate about a transverse axis (A) which is mounted for displacement in essentially translational motion. The rear part (12) of the movable pane (10) is pivotally mounted rotate about a transverse axis (B) while being swung about a stationary axis (C).
