ABSTRACT:
A device is provided to control the level of water in the gutter of a swimming pool which is responsive to the level of water in the pool. Weirs are provided on the pool side of the gutter to which weir housings are attached to conduct skimming and/or surge water into the gutter. Each weir housing is provided with a hollow floodable trough-like gate which can be adjusted to control the inflow of water past the gate. The gates are individually adjusted about the perimeter of the pool to control the inflow of water as a function of distance from the water outflow end of the gutter.
